Reports are available after walks and events to provide a summary of what happened. Some reports are also appear in the "Clonakilty Notes" column of the Southern Star newspaper.
Sunday, March 18 2007 Beara Way Starting from Adrigole we had a poor weather forcast for the beara way walk , we were not expecting a large turn out. Still on the morning 14 entusiastic walkers turned up . As we set of a heavy shower came so we waited for this to stop . we set off following the yellow man posts which guide you along the way we became side tracked by some missing posts, but we soon found our way again we had a great view of the whole of bantry bay with its islands and a few old ship wrecks (no doubt mostly caused by the same weather we were experiencing) .Showers came and went missing us most of the time after 4 hours on the go we came to Rosmacowen church our final destination. Into our cars and off home until the next walk. (Text: Ivor O'Connor) |
